After this week I feel like I belong on an episode of Hoarders! The amount of crap I threw away this week was scary (two white kitchen trash bags and working on a huge black trash bag still!) This week’s Craft Room Challenge to purge all the useless and/or old stuff from my craft room was no small feat.
Be sure to Save it on Pinterest if you need inspiration later!
I threw away probably 40 eraser-less pencils and empty pens. I found about 20 pens that belong to my husband’s work that he brings home in his pockets and never returns. I sent them back the other day and he got made fun of all day for it.
At one point I dumped all my vinyl scraps in the trash, dug them back out to dump them back in and then dug the “bigger” pieces out because glitter vinyl isn’t cheap! I threw out all my old college projects and books, too. Don’t tell Brad but I threw out some of his too :-).
I think the most fun purge was going through all of my markers. I was glad that most of my markers were not dried up. It was almost relaxing to make the squiggle marks on my test paper.
Now, this next week is organizing and I am positive that there will be more purging as I set up my new IKEA shelf. The organizing week will be the hardest for me because there is so much stuff in my craft room and it’s not all mine. So wish me luck!
Now let’s see what took Marie two and a half weeks to complete!
Welcome to the 2018 Craft Room Challenge! From January 3rd through January 31st, 12 crafty bloggers will be sorting, organizing, cleaning, and decorating their craft spaces. Each of us has a very different craft space to tackle, so chances are you will find one similar to yours. We’d love for you to join in on the fun challenge and clean right alongside us. Follow along and join in on social media by using #craftroomchallenge and #confessyourmess. You can also find us and the challenge via our social media accounts you’ll see listed on each of our sites. We’ll also have 15-minute mini daily challenges for you in case you have limited time to dedicate to the challenge. We hope you share your messy spaces and progress with us so we don’t feel alone this month!
Before you see the rest of the crafty spaces, please meet our lovely hosts:

Now, let’s take a look at their craft rooms and spaces!
Hello, I’m Aleisha. I have always been interested in the crafting world. Growing up I would often find myself in my grandma’s sewing room or in my mom’s craft room “helping” with whatever task they would give me. As an adult, my love for crafting turned into a degree in Event Planning, where entertaining and crafting collide. When I am not crafting or entertaining, I am spending as much time as I can get with my husband and two sons. I am also a complete Disney Junkie!
