T-Rex Fossil Birthday Card

One of the big perks to having a cutting machine like the Cricut is that I can make cards like this T-Rex Fossil Birthday Card on short notice and without having to run to the store. I can also custom design it to suit the person’s favorite colors and interests, like with this dinosaur. The fossil design is from one of my favorite and most-used Cricut cartridge, Simple Everyday Cards. You just can’t beat 50 different designs plus two envelopes. I haven’t made all the designs yet, but I’ve made the #1 Teacher card, Congrats Grad card, and the Welcome Baby card and all of them turned out well. Let me show you how simple this card is to make.

That’s it! I really love the colors I used on this T-Rex Fossil Birthday Card, but you can use different colors of course. You could even make a cute feminine version by using pink or purple paper or adding a little bow. I know several young ladies who are very interested in both dinosaurs and bows, lol.

  1. I have a Cricut and am having trouble understanding how to make things bigger, smaller, where to get things to cut and everything else. I know it is powerful, but I find it overwhelming to figure it out. I love that you give step by step directions, it helps me understand what you did. Thank you.

    1. No problem, Marilyn! I had a huge learning curve with the Cricut and really only figured it out after I started using Cricut Craftroom and now DesignSpace. It’s super easy to resize things there. Let us know if you ever have any questions and we’d be happy to help. -Marie
